Beginner Reading Comprehension

Class Info

Aimed at second to fourth grade students, this beginner course will ease students into learning how to read with deeper understanding. The course will cover a variety of types of literature, ranging from short stories to biographies. Each class, students will be given a short lesson on a new type of literature and an example to read through. Then, students will complete a series of exercises that check their apprehension of the reading. By the end of the course, students should be able to read with a more active mind.​

Instructor Info
Janna is a rising freshman at Watchung Hills Regional High School. In school, she has participated in a multitude of clubs, including the debate club and robotics club, where she has won numerous awards. Additionally, she graduated at the top of her class and has received countless honors in her academic work. In her free time, she enjoys reading, playing the clarinet, and playing tennis. She is excited for this opportunity to help others find their passion and potential in these areas.
