Introduction to Chemistry

Class Info

This introductory chemistry course is designed for students who don’t have prior chemistry knowledge. The course will teach students conceptual chemistry and focus on basic chemistry concepts. In order to help students better understand these concepts, each new concept will be accompanied by questions testing students’ knowledge of the material. The goal of this course is to act as a bridge for further in-depth study of chemistry: either in high school or self-study.

Nathan Zhang is a rising junior at Watchung Hills Regional High School. He is a US National Chemistry Olympiad qualifier representing the top 6% of chemistry students in the NJ state, and a 2021 International Medicine Olympiad silver medalist. He also participated in many other science competitions, such as the AMC series, USABO, and Science Bowl. He likes playing tennis and learning biology. Being an enthusiastic learner, Nathan hopes to spread his knowledge to other promising young individuals.
