Physics 1 + AP Physics C: Mechanics

Class Info

This course is aimed towards high schoolers looking to get ahead before taking AP Physics C: Mechanics. This is an introductory course that will give a basic overview of the main topics in that course. Reviews of basic calculus needed for the course will be included along with reviews from the regular high school physics class. After reviewing basic physics, the course will move on to covering topics exclusively found in AP Physics C: Mechanics.

Claudia Reines is a sophomore at the Union County Magnet High School. She has a strong interest in math and science fields having competed in Science Olympiad and written about scientific topics in the Newspaper Club at her school. Claudia has lots of experience tutoring and has educated younger students about environmental topics in The Green Cause organization. Having a lot of experience from volunteering at a camp counselor in the summer in a variety of educational programs, she loves teaching younger students in topics she is passionate about. In her free time, she really enjoys running, placing 3rd in the County Championship in the 3200m. She also has a strong interest and experience using Arduino, Autocad, and Fusion 360 from home and school activities.
